The proceeds made by the Anglo- Brazilian Society from the Brazil stands at recent ALAF Fairs, were the following:

In 2008, donations were made to: Pró-Criança Cardíaca (£1,400.00) and Refazer (£1,400.00).
In 2007, donations were made to: Dispensario Santana (£1,000), Pró-Crianca Cardíaca (£1,000) and Refazer (£,1,000).
Each year our donations are made to most of the charities we normally help, plus one/two other suggested by the Ambassador's wife, Madame Janine Bustani.

Casa de Passagem - Recife, Pernambuco
This is a centre for abused and homeless girls in Recife. It was set up to provide moral and psychological help to abandoned young women who had previously seen prostitution as their only option. www.casadepassagem.org.br
Centro Social da Torre- Recife, Pernambuco
This centre is located in the outskirts of Recife in a region where there was a high incidence of prostitution, undernourishment, illiteracy and unemployment.

Dispensario Santana- Feira de Santana, Bahia
This centre runs a nursery school for 400 children, vocational training for over 100 teenagers, and a medical and dental clinic staffed by volunteer doctors and dentists.

Kids Place – Recife, Pernambuco
This charity provides childcare, medical, dental and psychological assistance as well as lodging for the homeless and basic training in a number of fields.
Pró Criança Cardiaca – Rio de Janeiro
This charity offers treatment to poor children with serious heart conditions. Their services also include heart surgery when necessary and medication.

REFAZER – Rio de Janeiro
The charity looks after children from poor background, after they come out of hospital to help them convalesce, because they don’t have a home to go back.
